This is my New York. It’s millions of others’ New York too, but for me this was New York in January when it was freezing outside and me and my life needed some serious warmth (in all the various meanings of the word). The MoMA, Museum of Modern Art, rescued me from the cold, and to make me feel glad about the genius of design and architecture and all such good things.

When it wasn’t minus 8 degrees I’d traipse through Central Park or through the intricate streets around Bleeker Street and the like. When it was minus 8, I’d head to some secret burger place with new friends, spend too long in the MoMA store, and marvel at the Anthropologie window displays. More on the food and cooking and the shopping in another post.

NYC bagels are nice too! They put heaps of cream cheese on them … YUM!
Sunny is talking about a random street side chicken and rice kiosk thing with famous garlic sauce he recommended I go to in NYC. Missed it because it was seriously cold there in January and lining up for food, with famous garlic sauce or not, was not particularly appealing. Going again this year when it’s warmer so I’ll have to try it then. Will report back when mission accomplished!
chicken and rice shop! you missed out … tsk tsk
